This learning module provides an introduction to rubric design for three dimensional science assessment. Areas of focus include a description and rationale for rubrics, different types of rubrics, selection of rubric type based upon intended use, and how to create a rubric for any science task using AMSTIs grade span generic rubrics with the addition of task-specific scoring notes.
