AI in Education Learning Series
The AI in Education mini learning series was hosted by the CCSSO Science Collaborative to advance education leaders' understandings of the opportunities and challenges of using artificial intelligence in teaching, learning, and assessment. The sessions were organized and facilitated by Bill Penuel of iHub at CU Boulder.
SPA-LC/ILC 2023 Virtual Symposium
The SPA-LC/ILC 2023 Virtual Symposium was a two-day virtual meeting designed to support discipline-specific and cross-disciplinary inquiry into instructionally relevant assessment systems by facilitating generative conversations, networking partners, and sharing examples from the field.
Task Development Workshops
A five-session series of workshops to collaboratively design and improve science performance assessment tasks co-lead by SPA-LC team members and SPA-LC community members. Each session features work on a specific assessment task—editing, brainstorming ideas, developing student models and explanations—whatever is needed to improve the task.
Feedback and Grading PLN
Join us to help co-design a virtual professional learning session for classroom educators. Questions we will explore together include:
Session 1 What is our vision for an equitable (vision-aligned) learning, feedback, and grading system?
Session 2 What do we consider to be ‘student work’ and how do we examine it?
Session 3 What is the role of feedback in relation to learning?
Session 4 How do we adapt systems and processes to carry out our vision for equitable feedback and grading?
