Why the name ‘Check & Connect’?
Learners of participating Washington state educators were asked, “What do you think we should call these activities?”. While there were a variety of responses, there was also a pattern related to both ‘checking in’ and ‘making connections’. To value and honor their ideas, we call these types of short assessments Check & Connect.
